Job Duties:

Mentor® A Siemens Business in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking candidates for an entry-level software development position. The Software Engineer will be a member of world-wide, multi-site development team responsible for designing, analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Mentor’s Printed Circuit Board (PCB) software solutions. We are looking for team players that are skilled in developing and testing MFC/C++ software and can solve challenging PCB application problems on Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Ensure that code adheres to defined standards and best practices for performance, speed, scalability, and quality
  • Practice Agile development methods and exemplify core Agile values of transparency, collaboration, acceptance of change, and iterative development

Job Qualifications:

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (with emphasis on software) or equivalent. Must have completed coursework/projects in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object oriented methods and programming language principles. Must have experience programming in C/C++/C# and MFC on Windows. Additional experience with Linux is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
